Senior Executive/Executive, Network & Alliance

 

CHENG LIE Navigation Company (CNC Line) is a leader in intra-Asia trade. Subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, CNC Line offers personalized services and has specific expertise in the transport of containers with temperature control (refrigerated containers or Reefers).

 

 

Role Overview
In this role, you will be support the team in slot contracts negotiations as well as structuring, modifying and reviewing new and/or existing Alliance partnerships.
To excel in this role, you should be someone with strong negotiation skills and the ability to
deal and perform under pressure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement new partnership agreements, including proforma setup, slot cost/excess rates, and commercial terms
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders for new services or changes, and prepare allocation tables
  • Prepare and update marketing sellsheets for partnership services
  • Monitor IA market competitors and identify new opportunities
  • Optimize existing agreements and resolve structural issues
  • Maintain strong partner relationships to ensure smooth operations
  • Negotiate service optimizations and address operational or commercial issues
  • Manage operations of partnership services, review schedule recovery or offhiring requirements and sharing of operational savings in lines' interests
  • Collaborate with Lines/Operations/Cargo Flow to review compensation requirements for port omissions/blanks & negotiate with partners on compensation plans per commercial requirements
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders & partners to plan for blank sailings/slidings and execute deployment changes to fit market demand
  • Coordinate partners/legal for claim issues or partners/agencies to follow up on any government/terminal incentives, and resolve any other issues
  • Process billings for partnership services including update of slot cost, terminal THC recovery, track vessel pairing & verify partners' statement
  • Prepare new agreement contracts & update regulatory filings for new services, or update terms for existing agreement contracts
  • Maintain and update partnership data across systems like LISA, MYPAM, and PA Dashboard PowerApp

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, preferably in Business Analysis, Economics, or Maritime-related fields
  • 1–3 years of experience in the container shipping industry, with a focus on network planning, trade, or pricing
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
