Senior Executive/Executive, Network & Alliance

 

CHENG LIE Navigation Company (CNC Line) is a leader in intra-Asia trade. Subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, CNC Line offers personalized services and has specific expertise in the transport of containers with temperature control (refrigerated containers or Reefers).

 

 

Our CNC team is recruiting for a Senior Executive/Executive to join the Network & Alliance team. You will be performing slot contracts negotiations as well as structuring, modifying and reviewing new and/or existing Alliance partnerships.

 

Your main responsibilities are, but not limited to:  


Network Design & Partnership Management:
•    implement new partnership agreements including setup of proforma, slot cost/excess rates & other terms
•    coordinate with internal stakeholders for new service / service changes & prepare allocation tables
•    prepare/update marketing sellsheet for any new/existing partnership services
•    monitor competitors’ landscape in IA market & review any new opportunities
•    look for improvements of existing partnership agreements and resolve any structural issues

 

Partnership/Service Management:
•    build close relationships with existing partners to maintain good day-to-day working cooperation
•    negotiate with partners for service/business optimization & resolve any existing issues 
•    manage operations of partnership services, review schedule recovery or offhiring requirements and sharing of operational savings in lines' interests
•    work with Lines/OPS/CF to review compensation requirements for port omissions/blanks & negotiate with partners on compensation plans per commercial requirements
•    coordinate with internal stakeholders & partners to plan for blank sailings/slidings and execute deployment changes to fit market demand
•    coordinate partners/legal for claim issues or partners/agencies to follow up on any government/terminal incentives, and resolve any other issues

 

Billings/Contract:
•    process billings for partnership services including update of slot cost, terminal THC recovery, track vessel pairing & verify partners' statements
•    prepare new agreement contracts & update regulatory filings for new services, or update terms for existing agreement contracts
•    update partnership terms in partnership related systems including LISA, MYPAM, PA Dashboard Powerapp, etc

 

To be suitable for this role, the basic requirements are:
•    A Degree from an established and reputable university, preferably in business analysis, economics, maritime related studies 
•    At least 1 to 3 years of experience in container shipping industry, specifically with network planning / trade / pricing experience
•    Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
•    High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, vlookup, etc)  

 

To excel in this role, you should be someone with strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to deal and perform in ambiguous / stressful situation. You must be someone with strong attention to details, with a drive for result.
