Trade Executive, Reefer

CHENG LIE Navigation Company (CNC Line) is a leader in intra-Asia trade. Subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, CNC Line offers personalized services and has specific expertise in the transport of containers with temperature control (refrigerated containers or Reefers).

Summary
In this role, you will be responsible to ensure maximum reefer pricing contribution and optimization of CMA CGM’s liner assets and resources through the CNC brand. You will be focusing on the Intra Asia Reefer container trade, analyzing and optimizing pricing decisions for this dynamic market. You will also provide support to the team and manager to identify and develop new markets as well as to grow existing market, ensuring optimal utilization of all Intra Asia Reefer services.
 
To perform well in this role, you will need to possess excellent analytical skills and communication, ability to interpret data and enjoy problem solving.

Your main responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Pricing (70%)

• Research and conduct analysis on Reefer Ocean Freight
• Monitoring daily container lifting and maximize the available cargos with agencies
• Evaluate pricing strategy and calculate the free demurrage and detention

 
Trading (30%)

• Keep abreast to market trend for cargo flows (various or seasonal products) and liaise with various departments for data market information and report
• Generate reefer market intelligence and lifting performance report to Head Office
• Data and report collection from agency and review department weekly report
• Provide support to Manager and team in managing key accounts and develop new markets in various countries, includes follow-up with existing route status / issue

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Maritime Studies,  Supply Chain or equivalent;
• 0 to 1 year of working experience in the pricing or trade focused from shipping industry
• Advance proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite i.e. Excel specially with Pivot Table & VLOOKUP
