For SSL INEUR in Hamburg we are recruiting a Global Account Manager (f/m/d).

 

Your mission:

 

  • To secure, develop, implement, and manage and maintain Large Accounts and their planning, aligning to specific verticals and categories, supporting overall strategy of Group.  
  • Your responsibilities include:
  • Personal responsibility for the CMA SSL INEUR Global Account customer base within Europe focusing on the larger (BCO) intra-European manufacturer and shipper with main focus on business development and growth within given verticals.   
  • Establish & maintain excellent customer relationships ensuring an optimum throughput from each customer including regular visits to their premises.
  • Strengthen existing client-base through relationship-building via regular and effective communication of new services, pricing initiatives, and supporting corporate objectives.
  • Specific targeting of dedicated intra-European business throughout CMA SSL INEUR network and new service development opportunities, and as directed by Trade.
  • Develop strong working relationships within the full agency network and Trade departments, as well as the wider network of CMA agencies worldwide and CMA Global Accounts Dept. at HO.  
  • Provide full market knowledge to CMA SSL INEUR in order to influence pricing strategy.
  • Ensure Sales and Customer Service processes are supported and reflected throughout the agency structures, requiring close co-operation with SSL INEUR operations, transport and finance departments.
  • Constantly target business currently moving via overland trailer/truck and ensure greater visibility of the CMA SSL INEUR ‚DNA‘ entrenched in market sector -- increase conversion factor of pure overland Trailers to short sea intermodal 45‘ containers. 
  • Tirelessly prospect in territory in order to identify new potential and ability to take the opportunity through the entire sales process from first introduction to successful closure. 
  • Work closely with Tender team and specialist cargo teams (where necessary) to ensure excellent service coverage to the customer and support new service development opportunities. 
  • Report & analyse revenue & volume to ensure any customer issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Deliver against sales targets and budgets as set by the Head of Global Accounts. 
  • Provide timely and accurate sales reports via CRM database, and reporting as requested.
  • Assist in the marketing & PR of the company by representing CMA SSL INEUR at relevant workshops and trade events & exhibitions.

 

You bring aboard:

 

  • Strong commercial/sales background/sales process 
  • Shipping or Logistics company experience with European supply chain understanding
  • Background of working in shipping/logistics industry, FTL end-to-end sales experience preferred
  • Degree level or equivalent, preferably in disciplines including business admin/marketing
  • GCSE level or equivalent English and Maths
  • Willingness to travel extensively in UK and overseas
  • Loves working with customers and clients and constant advocacy of the highest customer care
  • Excellent presentation skills, using a variety of different media
