Senior Accountant & Controller (f/m/d)

For our SSL INEUR Head Office in Hamburg, we are looking to fill the position of Senior Accountant & Controller (f/m/d) at the earliest possible date.
Your responsibilities
- Responsibility for monthly reporting of 12 shipping entities (subsidiaries) within the group consolidation tool
- Monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances within the group system to ensure data consistency
- Preparation and provision of documents and reports for external stakeholders
- Review of the reporting packages prepared by the 3rd party (subsidiaries)
- Preparation of profitability and efficiency analysis and derivation of actionable recommendations
- Responsibility for improving accounting processes and internal controls
- Preparation of financial and budget plans, forecasts, and rolling projections to support business steering
- Participation in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Supporting internal and external audits
- Continuous development of controlling instruments and reporting tools
- Active participation in cross functional projects aimed at optimizing existing financial processes, systems, and workflows
Your profile
- Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance or Controlling, or a commercial qualification with additional certification (e.g. Certified Accountant IHK)
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable position
- Confident use of accounting and reporting systems, ideally with solid knowledge of MS Excel, SAP and OneStream is an advantage
- Practical experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements as well as financial and management reporting
- Industry experience in shipping or logistics is desirable but not required
- Strong analytical skills and a precise, structured working style
- High level of personal responsibility, reliability, and professional integrity
- Team oriented, dynamic personality with a solution focused mindset
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage
