SpotOn Trade Manager

Role Overview
As the SpotOn Trade Manager, your core mission is to drive digital sales performance and optimize the profitability of short-term quotations within the SPOTON platform. Reporting to the Head of Line & Trade and working closely with the Head of Digital Sales, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow volume (TEUs) and increase the percentage of digitalized bookings. You will monitor and adapt to evolving market conditions, including new tools such as Dynamic Pricing, and provide proactive feedback and rate recommendations to enhance commercial performance. Your success will be measured by your ability to meet annual targets related to digital sales KPIs and contribute to the overall digital transformation of the trade function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement pricing policies and allocation strategies for short-term quotations within the assigned trade.
- Analyze KPIs and provide recommendations for short-term quotes in coordination with the Head of Line & Trade.
- Validate and update short-term quotations in line with the digital commercial strategy.
- Monitor Dynamic Pricing developments and offer strategic input to the Head of Line & Trade.
- Support and guide the agents’ network to optimize performance, meet targets, and promote the Group’s digital platform.
- Collaborate with the Digital Sales team and Head of Digital Sales to align strategies on pricing, vouchers, and nautical miles.
- Share best practices and collaborate with other SpotOn Trade Managers.
- Report regularly (daily, weekly, monthly) on short-term pricing performance and progress against budget.
- Track weekly SpotOn convertible volume and propose action plans aligned with Line & Trade direction.
- Define and execute the digital marketing strategy for the trade, including local initiatives.
- Manage customer segmentation in coordination with the GEN Department and local Sales teams to improve conversion ratios.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and recommend appropriate actions.
- Provide structured feedback on digital product development (e.g., SpotOn platform, Dynamic Pricing) to Head Office project teams.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of relevant experience working in Maritime Industry
- Prior experience in trade lane management, sales and/or Project management experience would be advantageous
- Experience in Oracle and/or SAP basis platform is an added advantage
- Degree in Maritime studies, Logistics or Supply chain related would be advantageous
