SUMMARY
Computes duties, tariffs, and weight, volume, and price conversions of merchandise exported to foreign countries by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages Air shipments from A to Z.
- Has a great sense of organization and time management.
- Opens files when required into Ceva TMS
- Responds to inquiries by e-mail or telephone.
- Gives a high level of customer service to local customers and overseas offices.
- Reviews commercial documents to insure conformity to customs regulations.
- Send Arrival Notice to internal and external brokers for clearance. Helps getting additional information/document from the IOR when required. Follows with the broker until cargo is fully released.
- Tracks shipments. Enters References, milestones, events and upload documents to our TMS
- Notifies local customers and overseas offices of all major milestones and delays when applicable.
- Request and Provides POD's to parties involved.
- Examines documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements, to confirm proper weight and volume are matching.
- Responsible and accountable for all financials in the shipments .Pays vendors. Enters buy and selling rates in Ceva TMS. Reviews and approves vendors invoices. Issues and sends invoices for services provided to the appropriate parties based on Incoterms.
- Converts foreign currency figures into United States monetary equivalents, or domestic currency into foreign equivalents.
- Corresponds with foreign companies.
- Organizes oneself to handle the volume of activity.
- Prepares quotations for the network or customers.
- Creates and/or updates SOP’
- Reports all serious difficulties to leadership. Helps find solutions and drive actions to insure customer satisfaction.
- May be required to work on weekends and/or night hours depending on the demands of the business.
- May be required to support the air or ocean team based on business demand.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 3 years related experience and/or training.
- Advanced education a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS,
AS-1 – IAC Security Training – Full Charge. Certification in IATA Dangerous Goods Preferred
