Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Ensure the accurate receipt of incoming materials, rigorously control inventory levels, segregate and sort parts appropriately, and oversee proper placement and administration of inventory within the warehouse. This includes adhering to client specifications and internal processes for value-added workflows.
  • Operational Supervision: Oversee the execution of all operational processes, ensuring compliance with Safe Work Methods and established procedures. Lead and supervise warehouse personnel through conducting training, performance evaluations, recommendations for compensation, and general performance management.
  • Stock Verification: Regularly verify that the material stock recorded in the system matches physical inventory, enabling accurate validation of inventory and detection of discrepancies. Receive goods carefully assessing quantity and quality and update systems appropriately.
  • Process Execution: Conduct segregation, sorting and any value-added processes as dictated by customer specifications and internal operational goals.
  • Project Support: Assist in developing project or program objectives related to operations or storage, including aspects such as budgeting, scheduling, materials, personnel and other project requirements. Present insights to management and participate in moderate scope project management and development.
  • Performance Monitoring: Measure and control productivity indicators and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) both internal and external, to ensure achievement of operational excellence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse root causes of operational challenges and develop actionable plans to seize improvement opportunities, ensuring ongoing enhancement of processes and performance.
  • Resource Management: Administer assigned resources to maintain an efficient operational area, including ensuring adequate staffing, tools, and equipment to meet process execution demands.
  • Safety and Compliance: Provide assistance in research and develop recommendations to improve operational working conditions, with an emphasis on safety and compliance standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in warehouse inventory control and equipment operation in a logistics or industrial environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, train and motivate teams to meet operational goals.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills to conduct accurate inventory verification and process optimisation.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Proficient in using inventory management systems and technology to support operational duties.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with management.
