YOUR ROLE
The BPE Expert (Business Process Excellence) is engaged in following core activities: prepare, conduct and lead improvement projects at the site, defining deliveries and times lines; monitor progress and sustainability of Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives at sites; coach the site team in CI tools and CI management behavior; liaise with Management and Head of Departments to create CI culture, and contribute to the further development of CI. LEAN principles are used to improve productivity, reduce errors and create a CI mindset in each of areas of activity.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Run improvement studies and projects focus on: Productivity/ efficiency of operational resources, Process waste identification & elimination, Internal and External service level and quality improvement (KPI’s), Improving / solving operation’s bottleneck, Design and implement performance management, scheduling, and other applicable tools or methods, Drive & roll-out on sites tools/ initiatives related to best practice implementation.
- Preparing, conducting and leading improvement projects at sites. Activities including: Set and manage site expectations in cooperation with Contract Managers, Manage activities during implementation so they are delivered effectively and efficiently, Analyse and determine baseline of current situation, Facilitate the development and detailing of process improvement ideas and next steps, Coach site management to prepare presentations and sustain improvements.
- Monitoring progress and sustainability of CI initiatives at sites. Activities include: Active in tracking impact of CI improvement plans (financial and/or non-financial), Support sites in continuing to plan, develop and detail process improvement ideas and to quantify saving targets, Verify culture change is present and progressing.
- Drive Site Classification Assessments (operational best practises metrics) to sites/stations and audit on their performance & compliance.
- Review Kaizen and support / troubleshoot site on issue related to CI tools.
- Contribution to further development of CI culture. Activities include: Develop and continuously improve applicable methodologies, Establish developments or area of expertise to assure continuous improvement, Collect and share best practices with BPE community.
- Active participation in training and coaching. Activities include: Educate management and associates by delivery of various CI training/ CI programs, Develop and / or improve training materials, Assist in preparing for and / or delivery of CI training.
- Maintain good relationship with site/ contract / operation managers & site change agents & obtain support for CI activities.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, engineering, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in warehousing and/ or supply chain operations.
- Experienced in project management methodologies to develop solution driven strategy plans, implementing business requirements analysis and testing processes, and identifying timeline constraints, and risks.
- Experienced in working within a multicultural environment.
- Knowledge and successful application of CI/ LEAN methodology.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities.
- Strong negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Team working skills and ability to successfully manage change processes.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Proficient in PowerPoint development and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop short and long-range project planning and effectively communicate information to diverse work groups.
- Excellent communication skills in English language.
- Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
