YOUR ROLE

As a Teamlead Control Room, you are the backbone of our logistics operation. The control room informs and guides the logistics process where needed. Together with your team, you ensure optimal performance on SQDP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity) metrics.

The team monitors everything closely and gives timely advice when necessary. You’ll ensure optimal utilization of our highly automated mechanical processes to achieve maximum machine efficiency and prevent bottlenecks or disruptions.

You’ll take into account customer requirements, workforce planning, staff training needs, machine capacity, and other critical conditions. You’ll set priorities and steer operations throughout the day.

As Teamlead Control Room, you are responsible for a team of 20 employees, including Equipment Control Room Specialists, Operational Control Room Specialists, and Process Control Room Specialists. You report to the Manager Control Room and are based at our Zalando warehouse in Bleiswijk.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Coach and lead a team of Equipment, Operational, and Process Control Room Specialists

• Advise operations on the most efficient use of people and resources

• Maintain system oversight to safeguard process flows and ensure continuity

• Facilitate communication between operations, MHE partners, and the control room

• Safely start up and manage systems such as the Warehouse Control System and Warehouse Management System

• Contribute to improvements in machine and warehouse performance

• Test new or modified equipment on technical system variables

• Identify patterns in machine disruptions

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You’re someone who enjoys challenges and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As Teamlead Control Room, you’re comfortable making decisions, influencing others with your insights, and adapting quickly to daily operational needs. You aim for optimal results and maintain an overview of planning, performance, and progress. You’re communicative, socially skilled, and a real team player.

You bring the following experience and skills:

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in logistics or a technical field

• At least 5 years of experience in a dynamic logistics environment

• Proven leadership experience managing professional teams

• Strong organizational skills, stress resilience, and a sense of responsibility

• Full-time availability

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dutch

WHAT DO WE OFFER YOU?

• Competitive salary in Scale 9: €3,627 up to a maximum of €5,318 gross per month, depending on experience
