Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the negotiation of freight rates and service agreements with air and ocean carriers to ensure cost-effective and competitive pricing.
• Collaborate closely with procurement and carrier relations teams to develop negotiation strategies that align with CEVA's operational objectives and market conditions.
• Analyse market trends, freight rate fluctuations, and carrier performance data to inform negotiation tactics and support strategic decision-making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and successful contract management.
• Supervise and mentor a team of negotiation specialists, promoting continuous professional development and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations throughout the negotiation and contracting processes.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, outlining negotiation outcomes, cost savings, and market insights.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within procurement and carrier relations activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in freight rate negotiation, preferably within the air and ocean freight logistics sector.
• Strong understanding of international shipping, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in negotiation techniques, contract management, and market analysis.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is highly desirable to facilitate communication with local and international partners.
• Familiarity with relevant legal and compliance standards in the freight forwarding industry.
