YOUR ROLE
Are you passionate about warehouse logistics and organization? Do you enjoy working in a clean and efficient warehouse environment? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to execute essential operational processes and contribute to delivering results in a safe and efficient warehouse operation.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
As a warehouse associate, I can do one or more of the following jobs:
- Receiving:
Unload the truck, verify delivery versus bill of lading, and report any damage or discrepancy. Examine the product's quality and quantity. Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine which goods should be moved, gathered, or distributed. Accurately and timely receive products in the WMS (Warehouse Management System). Materials or goods are sorted and placed on racks, shelves, or bins in specified sequences such as size, kind, style, color, or product code. Place all products in the proper location.
- Picking:
Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items, and delivers them to production workers or assembly lines. Pick orders in accordance with pick tickets and process them by locating the product in the warehouse, picking products from the appropriate area, scanning the products, and placing them in the appropriate picking tote or cart.
- Packing:
Check order details and verify products to be packed for damage, missing items, or incorrect items. effectively prepares parcels for mailing. Pack orders according to packaging instructions, check for product damage, assemble customer orders from stock, place orders on pallets or shelves, or transport orders to the packing station or shipping department. Label materials with identification information. opening bales, boxes, and other containers.
- Releasing:
Palletize orders in accordance with the orders and shipment specifications, assuring quality and accuracy.
Prepare shipment paperwork and load the truck.
- Inventory control:
Count products in accordance with the cycle count plan or the checking request; ensure that there are no misplaced or damaged products in the location; and keep records.
Report inventory discrepancy to Team Leader or Supervisor immediately.
Perform quality inspection upon request
- Ability to cross-train and learn the processes of other departments
- Help other departments if all orders or tasks in their respective department are complete
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Abide by all company safety and Hygiene regulations.
- Maintain a safe work environment and participate in 5s activities daily.
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehouse procedures.
- Notify the team lead or supervisor of any issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED;
- Credentials: Forklift Certification typically required in most operations within 3 to 6 months of hire; Valid state issued driver’s license preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
- 3 months to -1 year of relevant warehousing experience is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, picking, packing, shipping, and replenishing.
- Familiarity with using WMS (warehouse management system) is a plus.
- Ability to become forklift certified, when required.
- Characteristics: Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift or move objects over 20 pounds.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Basic mathematical skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Reliable, consistent, on-site attendance is a requirement.
- Flexibility to work temporarily, with different shifts or extended hours based on operational needs.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Forklift certified or able to become forklift certified

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
