YOUR ROLE
Our Air & Ocean team based in Gothenburg, Sweden have an exciting opportunity for a customer centric Air Freight Operator where you will provide freight forwarding services to a number of high value accounts, ensuring that as a team we deliver outstanding operational and customer service excellence at all times.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Air Operations Manager you will work within a small Air Freight team where you will be responsible for the planning, booking and management of air freight shipments for both import and export operations ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods in line with client requirements. You will coordinate and collaborate with customers, carriers and subcontractors to ensure that transportation requests are received and completed without delay and that clear communication strategies are in place to escalate and resolve deviations and challenges quickly whilst maintaining customer satisfaction.
You will manage shipment documentation, including waybills, invoices and freight documentation, ensuring that records are accurate and up to date. You will prepare and manage customs documentation, ensuring compliance with international transportation laws and regulations, you will also take a vested interest in staying up to date with international trade rules, regulations and laws.
In addition, you will also contribute operational improvements, identifying and implementing new process enhancements to meet organisational and client goals.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven air freight experience ideally within an air freight operation.
- Experienced in managing shipment and customs documentation.
- An understanding of international transportation regulations and laws.
- Exceptional communicator, influencer, and problem solver.
- Proficient in MS Packages and freight systems such as Cargowise and IFS.
- Demonstrable experience of building exceptional relationships both internally and externally.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Fluent in english both written and verbal.
