YOUR ROLE

Our team based in Gothenburg, Sweden have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Head of Financial Accounting where you will lead all financial accounting activities for the Nordics.  

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Head of Finance Transformation, you will lead a small and diverse team of financial experts where you will embed, empower and encourage a culture of improvement, engagement and high performance.

As the Head of Financial Accounting you will ensure that all financial activities and requirements are completed for month-end processes. You will develop and implement strong internal financial controls and manage annual statutory accounts for multiple entities, as well as being the key contact for all audit and regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for process improvements, leading departmental change initiatives relating to compliance, policies and practices and support senior management and organisational leaders with merger, acquisition and integration activities.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in your application you will be able to demonstrate:

• Significant experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Understanding of statutory accounting standards.
• Skilled in managing complex financial data, internal controls and practices.
• Strong knowledge of local financial accounting standards.
• Experienced in leading and managing a team of financial experts.
• Excellent analysis and reporting skills, capable of using MS Excel and financial systems, such as JDE, Onestream or equivalent.
• Exceptional communicator, influencer, and problem solver.
• Demonstrable experience of building exceptional relationships both internally and externally.
• Fluent in swedish and english both written and verbal.

It would be desirable, however not essential, if you have proven experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Group Financial Reporting or Intercompany Accounting.
