Pay range: $24.54 - $30.67
YOUR ROLE
Responsible for providing support and coordination on various projects and activities performed by performance management to support the Operational Excellence initiatives. Work with any department in a facility or at the corporate office in order to identify areas or items of non-compliance that directly or in-directly affect product quality or service performance. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
- Drive Corporate Operational Excellence component (LEAN Program, Quality, ZDS, Smart Solutions and applicable training) in a facility.
- Work in conjunction with any department in a facility or through corporate department personnel in order to keep the station facility in compliance with reporting and sustaining station goals driven through the continuous improvement and operational excellence programs.
- Perform analysis on key metrics/processes and recommend Kaizen process improvements to maximize efficiencies.
- Participate during conference calls.
- Create reports and document processes.
- Prepare and report all performance measures (i.e. monitoring tool) and Kaizen results to corporate and local management.
- Assist in communicating measurement standards and key performance indicators to all members of the facility.
- Monitor and verify the integrity of data reported and review with local management before distributing.
- Provide assistance as needed to the station to improve performance and efficiencies.
- Follow established policies and procedures; determine and recommend potential enhancements.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Knowledgeable of the company’s products, services and operations.
- PC literate. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software.
- Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly to changing priorities.
- Effective planning and organizational skills, detail oriented and effective time management skills.
- Knowledgeable of research methods and basic analytical techniques. Ability to recognize inaccuracies in data.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate information and understand inter-functional relationships.
- Ability to develop and document processes and procedures and generate error-free reports, charts and graphs.
- Strong written communication skills to assist with composing business letters and editing and proofing correspondence and reports.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with internal and external resources, gain credibility with senior management and manage through conflict with a positive and a flexible attitude.
- Ability to support team members in furthering departmental goals through open and honest communication, promoting team interests over self-interest.
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures; determine and recommend potential enhancements.
- Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.
- Ability to meet deadlines and complete all projects in a timely manner.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Minimum: High School Degree or GED. Minimum 2 years experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain or related industry. CEVA Lean Expert certified or nine weeks experience as a “Change Agent”. Functional understanding of supply chain processes, third party logistics, or experience auditing controls in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing operations.
Preferred: Associate’s Degree or equivalent combinatory of education and work experience. Minimum 1 year industry experience.
