Mission
To ensure the technical and human management of industrial and special projects, delivering excellence in execution while adhering to international safety and quality standards. This highly specialized role requires advanced technical knowledge, operational precision, and the ability to develop tailored solutions for complex logistics challenges.
As part of the Industrial Projects Department, the IP Officer will oversee and coordinate the transportation of diverse and often unique types of cargo using multimodal transport methods that comply with international regulations. This includes the end-to-end management of specialized traffic flows requiring advanced technical expertise and operational rigor.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Technical Oversight:
Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of industrial and special logistics projects.
Ensure compliance with international safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Provide technical guidance and solutions for the transportation of exceptional, sensitive, hazardous, valuable, or oversized cargo.
Multimodal Transport Management:
Coordinate dedicated charters, port operations, and air, ocean, and road transport.
Manage the logistics of multimodal transport, ensuring seamless integration across all modes.
Solution Design & Problem Solving:
Develop customized logistics solutions tailored to the unique requirements of each project.
Handle cargo with exceptional dimensions, weights, or other special handling needs.
Administrative & Regulatory Compliance:
Manage authorizations, customs clearance, and other regulatory formalities.
Oversee the preparation and validation of all supporting documentation.
Provide advisory services to ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Required Skills and Experience
Technical Expertise
Extensive experience in logistics, operational planning, and multimodal transport (air, ocean, road, and dedicated charters).
Proven ability to manage specialized traffic flows, including exceptional, sensitive, and hazardous cargo.
Operational Experience:
Hands-on experience in Air, Ocean, and Road logistics operations.
Strong background in pricing and cost analysis for logistics projects.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to develop innovative and practical solutions for complex logistics challenges.
Strong analytical skills to assess risks and identify opportunities.
Administrative Knowledge:
Proficient in customs clearance, regulatory compliance, and documentation management.
Familiarity with international trade regulations and standards.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
Certification in Project Management or Logistics (e.g., PMP, CLTD, or similar).
Fluency in English and Portuguese
