YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a full-time, permanent MC driver to join our team at our Cranbourne West site.
This position is offered at $40.6877 per hour + 13.75% super, under the CEVA Logistics & Transport Workers Union National Enterprise Agreement. Full EA details can be found at fwc.gov.au.
Reporting to the Cross-Dock Operations Supervisor, you’ll help ensure that our day-to-day trucks & trailers movement on/offsite (yard tug operations) are completed within CEVA standards.
Specifically, you will:
- Move trucks and trailers in local sites with standard procedures
- Picking up trailers from local sites
- Operate the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner whilst complying with regulatory requirements and CEVA policies
- Ensure the safe handling & restraint of freight at all locations in conjunction with depot based teams.
- Complete documentation relating to trips, such as pre-starts, work diary, delivery dockets and timesheets.
- Observe & report any on road incidents, equipment issues or mechanical failures immediately in accordance with the required process.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- A current MC driver’s licence
- Reliable with a good work ethic and positive can do attitude
- Evidence of a good driving record
- Good understanding of CoR inc vehicle maintenance & load restraint, loading and unloading of general freight
- Good verbal/written communication skills and attention to details.
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to complete a medical assessment and national police check.
