En tant que spécialiste de la paie et des avantages sociaux, vous gérerez le traitement complet de la paie canadienne, y compris les procédures de fin d'année, tout en veillant au respect des réglementations fédérales et provinciales. PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

Traitement de la paie

  • Préparer et traiter la paie de tous les employés avec précision et dans les délais.
  • Assurer la conformité aux lois et règlements fédéraux et provinciaux sur la paie.
  • Valider les transactions de paie, y compris les feuilles de temps, les congés, les gains et déductions.
  • Rapprochez les rapports de paie et résolvez les écarts.
  • Collaborer avec les services de finances et RH pour les questions liées à la paie.
  • Valider et vérifier la paie pour s'assurer de l'exactitude de toutes les informations.
  • Vérifier et valider les feuilles de temps.
  • Participer au processus de fin d’année et émettre les formulaires T4, Relevé 1, les sommaires respectifs.

Conformité et rapports:

  • Préparer et soumettre les rapports requis aux organismes gouvernementaux (p. ex., feuillets d'impôts, rapports sur les avantages sociaux).
  • Rester à l'affût des changements apportés à la réglementation sur la paie et les avantages sociaux et mettre en œuvre les ajustements nécessaires.
  • Créer et générer des rapports.

Administration des avantages sociaux:

  • Administrer les programmes d'avantages sociaux des employés, y compris l'assurance maladie, l'assurance dentaire et l'assurance-vie, les régimes de retraite, les politiques de congé et les programmes de bien-être.
  • Aider les employés à s'inscrire aux avantages sociaux, à les modifier et à les demander.
  • Éduquer les employés sur les options et les procédures en matière d'avantages sociaux.
  • Soutenir la gestion des relations avec les fournisseurs externes afin d'assurer une livraison précise des avantages, une performance optimale du plan, la conformité réglementaire et le contrôle des coûts. 
  • Soutenir l'identification et l'exécution des améliorations au processus d'administration des prestations.
  • Aider à la création et à la révision des documents de communication sur les avantages sociaux. 
  • Aider à la gestion des procédures comptables des avantages sociaux et suivre les dépenses des avantages sociaux par rapport au budget. 
  • Assurer le traitement rapide et précis des paiements de factures de prestations. 
  • Faciliter le financement rapide et précis des régimes de REER et de RPA. 
  • Contribuer à la planification et à la mise en œuvre d'initiatives de bien-être pour l'ensemble de la main-d'œuvre. 
  • Cultiver et entretenir des relations avec les fournisseurs d'avantages sociaux. 
  • Coordonner avec les fournisseurs d'avantages sociaux et les fournisseurs.
  • Collaborer avec l'équipe de CEVA pour administrer les régimes d'avantages sociaux

Soutien aux employés:

  • Agir à titre de point de contact pour les questions liées à la paie et aux avantages sociaux.
  • Préserver la confidentialité des informations sur les employés.
  • S'acquitter de toutes autres tâches qui lui sont confiées.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • DEC / collège ou supérieur dans un domaine connexe (comptabilité, finance ou RH) avec au moins 1 à 3 ans d'expérience en tant que coordonnateur/analyste de la paie ou dans un poste similaire.
  • Accréditation: Professionnel en conformité de la Paie(PCP) (Atout)
  • Connaissance avancée de Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Connaissances approfondies des pratiques de paie au Canada.
  • Solide connaissance des normes d'emploi provinciales et fédérales et des lois du travail.
  • Connaissance de SAP SuccessFactors, ADP et/ou UKG. (Atout)
  • Une excellente gestion du temps, un souci du détail et un sens de l'organisation sont indispensables.
  • Capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois et à travailler dans un environnement au rythme rapide.
  • Responsable, autonome et avec un haut degré de confidentialité.

YOUR ROLE

As a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you will handle the complete processing of Canadian payroll, including year-end procedures, while ensuring adherence to federal and provincial regulations. Additionally, you will manage employee benefits programs, encompassing retirement benefit plans.  The role is located in Ontario or Quebec.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Payroll Processing

  • Prepare and process payroll for all employees accurately and on schedule.  
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll laws and regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records, including timekeeping, attendance, and deductions.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with finance and HR departments for payroll-related matters.
  • Validate and audit payrolls to ensure accuracy of all information. 
  • Update and maintain the timekeeper. 
  • Generate the year-end cycle and issue T4, Relevé 1 forms, respective summaries and prepare necessary tax filings,

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies (e.g., tax filings, benefit reporting).
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll and benefits regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Create and generate reports.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental and life insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellness programs.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Educate employees on benefits options and procedures.
  • Support the management of outsourced vendor relationships to ensure accurate benefits delivery, optimal plan performance, regulatory compliance, and cost control.  
  • Support the identification and execution of enhancements to the benefits administration process.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing benefit communication materials.  
  • Aid in the management of benefits accounting procedures and monitor benefit expenses in relation to the budget.  
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of benefit invoice payments.  
  • Facilitate the prompt and precise funding of RRSP and RPP plans.  
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of well-being initiatives for the entire workforce.  
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with benefit vendors.  
  • Coordinate with benefits providers and vendors.
  • Collaborate with the CEVA benefit’s team to administer the benefit plans

Employee Support:

  • Act as a point of contact for payroll and benefits-related questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience

  • DEC/college or higher in a related field (accounting, finance or HR) with at least 1-3 years of experience as a Payroll Coordinator/Analyst or in a similar position.
  • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) (Added value)
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Full scope knowledge of Canadian Payroll practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Provincial and Federal employment standards and labour laws.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, ADP and/or UKG. (Added value)
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail and organizational skills a must.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsible, autonomous, and high degree of confidentiality.
  • Bilingual in English and French both written and spoken.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to analyze moderately complex administrative details and routine tasks including organizing, preparing and coding documents and preparing summary reconciliations. Accurate typing and/or data entry skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • PC Literate. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific applications.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, senior management, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to develop and document processes and procedures.
  • Proven organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Able to work independently while following established policy and procedures.
  • Ability to respond promptly and professionally to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve performance.
  • Ability to recommend solutions to common problems.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
