YOUR ROLE  
As a Workforceplanner, your primary responsibility is to ensure that the right number of flexible workers with the required skills are available on time to support our logistical operations. You'll collaborate with colleagues to create and optimize employee schedules, working closely with operational departments and our flexible staffing partners.  

 

What does this role mean? The employee schedule is based on forecasts provided by our partners. For context, during peak periods, around 4,000 temporary workers are employed in our warehouse in Waalwijk. You'll inform and advise various stakeholders, primarily via email and phone, requiring strong English skills. Your ability to analyze data, combined with proficiency in Excel and other systems, supports your recommendations and responses. Precision and effective prioritization are essential to providing stakeholders with accurate and timely information.  

 

You’ll be part of a team of three Workforce Planners, a diverse and dedicated group where your input is valued, and together, you work towards achieving your goals. You will report to the Workforce Coordinator and be based at our bol. XL location in Nieuwegein. In addition, you will work one day per week from another location, such as The Hague or Nijmegen. 

 

Working hours are primarily between 07:00 and 19:00, every day of the week. Occasionally, you will work weekends, for example during peak season. Of course, you won’t be working these hours consecutively. As a team, you will create a quarterly schedule where you can indicate your preferences, which will be accommodated as much as possible.   

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?  

  • Fulfill the flexible workforce needs for logistical operations based on forecasts;  
  • Develop a 4-8 week workforce plan in consultation with operations;  
  • Increase the flexibility of the workforce pool trough methods such as job rotation;  
  • Coordinate between operations and partners regarding the supply of temporary workers;  
  • Perform analyses to optimize future schedules;  
  • Contribute to process improvements and the development of the planning system.  

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Do you recognize yourself in the following characteristics and qualities:

  • Completed secondary vocational education (MBO level 4), preferably in HRM or Logistics;  
  • Experience in a supportive and/or administrative role in a dynamic environment;   
  • Excel holds no secrets for you, and you’re adept at working with various systems;   
  • You have strong social and communication skills, are stress-resistant, and work with great attention to detail;   
  • You're flexible with working hours, willing to work occasionally on weekends, and have your own transportation;   
  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

  • You will receive a monthly salary between €2.544,53 to €3,547,14 based on your experience and education level;
