YOUR ROLE

 

Our operation based in Daventry Dirft, is looking for a dedicated Transport Manager where you will take the lead in managing an efficient, compliant, and high-performing transport function.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

 

Reporting to the General Manager, you will take ownership of the transport operation, leading a team of Transport Supervisors, Clerks, and Drivers. You will set the tone for a positive, productive, and collaborative working environment where high performance and strong team spirit are encouraged every day.

 

You will develop your team, supporting their growth through coaching, training, and ongoing feedback. You’ll take pride in helping your people build their skills and confidence, ensuring they feel valued and empowered to succeed. You will promote a culture of health and safety, ensure all legal requirements and compliance standards are met, and that best practices are followed throughout the operation.

 

You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients. You’ll be a key point of contact, communicating with them daily to understand their needs, resolve issues quickly, and make sure service levels are consistently high. Working closely with the warehouse and other departments, you’ll ensure operations run smoothly from end to end.

 

This role will see you working Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30.

 

 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

 

Our ideal candidate will have strong operational experience, with a proven track record of managing teams across transport, warehouse, or similar environments. You will be highly organised, with excellent time management skills and a clear focus on meeting targets and priorities.

 

You will bring a practical approach to problem-solving and be confident in building and maintaining strong client relationships. A hands-on leader, you’ll know how to motivate your team and drive continuous improvement across the operation.
