YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Transport Planner for our campus in Roosendaal. As a Transport Planner, you are responsible for preparing daily and weekly loading and unloading schedules for our warehouse. You have frequent contact with transporters, your colleagues in the warehouse, customers and the CEVA cross-dock locations to ensure that products are delivered to customers on time.

 

With your experience as a Transport Planner, you will not only be responsible for planning the orders together with your team, but you will also act as a point of contact for the Supervisor and the team. You keep the overview, maintain customer relations, set priorities and shift gears quickly when necessary. You communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you are driven to achieve set goals and enjoy working with your team and colleagues to make this happen. Working hours in this full-time position can be flexibly scheduled between 07:00 and 18:00. You will also alternate with colleagues and be on standby once every five weeks in the evening or on Saturday mornings.

 

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

At CEVA Logistics in Roosendaal, we have several warehouses where we take care of the logistics process for various customers. The customer you and your team serve is active in the fashion sector. Our warehouse has an area of about 30,000 m², from here we supply 68 European shops.

 

In this role, you will work in the office area adjacent to the warehouse. This is ideal, as it allows you to have a lot of contact with your colleagues and you get to experience a lot of the challenges on the shop floor! You are part of the Transport team, which consists of 5 employees. Together, you are responsible for scheduling transporters based on the daily workload. In addition, you maintain an overview and are the contact person for the Supervisor.

 

Your tasks include:

  • Maintaining intensive contact with the customer, including the weekly transport meeting with the customer and your Supervisor;
  • Solving problems and/or escalations in consultation with stakeholders and your colleagues;
  • Performing analyses of the performance of carriers, (internal) customers and intermediate parties, and working out possible improvements;
  • Setting up and working out transport solutions, together with the Carrier Manager of CEVA Ground.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

With your entrepreneurial attitude and communication skills, there is no problem that cannot be solved. You are stress-resistant, accurate and able to pace yourself well. You are assertive and able to work independently, without losing sight of the team spirit. Thanks to your experience, you act as a link between the team and the Supervisor to maintain the overall picture. Finally, you are flexible towards your colleagues and working hours, especially during busy periods.

 

You will bring the following knowledge and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in transport or capacity planning;
  • MBO+ / HBO working and thinking level;
  • Good command of the English language, verbally and in writing;
  • Strong planning skills and logistical insight;
  • Experience with Excel.

  • A salary between 2.520,06 and 3.313,30 (depending on your work experience and education level), with the opportunity for growth within the pay scale;
  • A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position;
  • Employment conditions in accordance with our own CEVA collective labor agreement (Dutch: cao), including 25 vacation days, 5 ADV days, and an annual salary increase;
  • Profit sharing of up to 3% with positive business results;
  • Good pension scheme, travel allowance and 8% holiday pay;
