Teamlead Operations Outbound

YOUR ROLE
As a Logistics Team Leader, you are at the heart of our logistics operation for our partner bol.com. Together with your team, you determine the success of one of the largest logistics operations in the Netherlands. In this role, you will successfully lead the Outbound subprocess. Your team consists of 25 to 150 Warehouse Operators and 2-3 Team Coordinators, all specialized in the outbound process. You inspire and motivate your team to set and achieve goals, while actively contributing to their personal and professional development.

You have a sharp eye for both the process and the people within it, focusing on individuals as well as the growth of the team. Daily communication with the Control Room, the traffic control tower of our warehouse, is key. They provide insights and advice on volumes, ratios, and planning. Your primary location will be the bol.com Fulfilment Center in Waalwijk, where you’ll work in two shifts and report directly to the Operations Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching, and developing team members, including conducting performance and appraisal reviews;
• Managing daily operations and ensuring the achievement of set KPIs and planning targets;
• Making the right decisions for an optimal end-to-end process in collaboration with colleagues and the Control Room;
• Continuously improving the efficiency of people, resources, and equipment;
• Identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements to the logistics process;
• Conducting measurements, creating reports, and performing analyses;
• Supporting absence management and contributing to a healthy working environment;
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.

WHERE WILL YOU BE WORKING?

You will be working at one of our bol. locations in Waalwijk, where you will be responsible for the Outbound subprocess. In this dynamic environment, everything revolves around processing and shipping smaller parcels. Together with your team, you ensure they are sent out on time and accurately, straight to satisfied customers.

• Bachelor-level thinking and working skills, with at least a completed MBO-4 education;
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a dynamic environment;
• A natural people manager with proven leadership experience in a similar (logistics) setting;
• Ambitious, hands-on, and able to perform well under pressure and in fast-paced situations;
• Solution-oriented, proactive, and a strong sense of ownership;
• Full-time availability and flexibility to work in a 2-shift schedule;
• Strong command of the English language, spoken and written.

• A monthly salary between €2.878,19 and €4.187,42, plus 8% holiday allowance (salary depends on your experience and educational background);
