Workforce Planner

YOUR ROLE
As a Workforce Planner, you make sure that the right number of temporary workers with the needed skills and qualifications are available on time to support our logistics operation. Together with your colleagues, you build the workforce planning puzzle. You work closely with the operational teams and our staffing partners to make this happen.
How do you make a planning like that? You and your team base the staffing plan on the client’s forecast. You translate this forecast into the number of temporary workers needed per period. To give you an idea: during peak times, our Bleiswijk site which supports Zalando as its only client can scale up significantly from its base of approximately 400 team members.
You inform and advise internal stakeholders, mostly via email and phone. That means you're strong in communication both verbal and written in English, and ideally Dutch as well. To support your advice and planning decisions, you use data and are comfortable working with Excel and various systems. You're detail-oriented and can prioritize well, ensuring that all stakeholders have the information they need.
You’ll be part of a team of ten other Workforce Planners a diverse, driven team where your input is welcome and teamwork leads to results. You report to the Manager Workforce and work from our office in Bleiswijk.
Working hours are typically scheduled between 07:00 – 21:00, seven days a week, which includes weekends. Of course, you won’t work all those hours we make a quarterly schedule as a team, where your preferences are taken into account as much as possible.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
• Ensure flexible workforce availability for our logistics operation, based on client forecast
• Create 4-8 week workforce plans in collaboration with operations
• Increase flexibility of the workforce pool by facilitating job rotation
• Communicate with staffing partners about personnel supply
• Analyze workforce data to optimize future planning
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and planning systems
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• Completed MBO-4 education, preferably in HRM, Logistics, or similar
• Experience in a supportive and/or administrative role in a dynamic environment
• You know your way around Excel and different planning tools
• Strong communication skills, stress-resistant, and detail-focused
• Flexible in working hours, willing to occasionally work weekends, and have your own transport
• Fluent in English, Dutch is preferred but not required
