Operations Manager
Overall responsibility for the strategic management, optimization, and seamless execution of daily logistics operations, with a particular focus on E-Commerce returns management services for key clients.
 
 
YOUR ROLE
  • Operations & KPI Management: Managing daily logistics operations to achieve quality, efficiency targets, and operational KPIs.
  • Resource & Capacity Planning: Monitoring staffing levels against forecasts and collaborating with planning to ensure resource availability.
  • Budgeting & P&L Oversight: Managing the annual budget, controlling operational costs, and analyzing financial and P&L results.
  • Client Relations & Reporting: Building long-term client relationships, reporting on SLA/KPI delivery, and leading MBR/QBR reviews.
  • Continuous Improvement: Driving process optimization initiatives using LEAN, Kaizen, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Leading and motivating large teams, fostering employee development, and managing succession planning.
  • Asset & Infrastructure Control: Supervising warehouse infrastructure, equipment, and company assets to ensure proper utilization.
  • H&S, Compliance & Audits: Ensuring strict adherence to H&S regulations and representing the company during audits and client visits.
 
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven Leadership: Minimum of several years of proven managerial experience in operations, leading large structures 
  • Education: University degree (preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, or Engineering).
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent command of MS Office (especially advanced Excel) and exposure to WMS/ERP systems for operational data analysis.
  • Labor Law & Compliance: Solid understanding of labor law regulations regarding working time management and resource planning.
  • Language Skills: Advanced/Fluent proficiency in English (both written and spoken) for corporate and client communication.
  • Executive Presence: Strong accountability, goal-orientation, emotional intelligence, charisma, and the ability to influence and make high-stakes decisions under pressure.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skills in task delegation, mentoring, motivating diverse teams, and managing client relations.
 
NICE TO HAVE / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certifications: Green Belt or Black Belt in Six Sigma, or advanced Lean Management certifications.
  • Sector Expertise: Extensive background in warehouse logistics within high-volume B2C or E-Commerce environments.
  • Industry Background: Solid experience in the international TSL (Transport, Shipping, Logistics) industry.
  • Change Management: Practical experience in scaling up operations, managing startups, or implementing new automation technologies.
  • Mindset: Proactive, strategic thinker focused on process innovation, business growth, and effective cross-departmental communication.
