YOUR ROLE

The General Accountant is responsible for ensuring that accounting is maintained on a day-to-day basis in compliance with the law and current accounting standards. In this capacity, his or her role is to ensure that various flows are correctly recorded, right up to the preparation of the accounting closings.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Cash Management:

• Bank reconciliation

• Daily cash position and projection

• Daily cash statement

- Contributions & Taxes:

Completed all tax and social security declarations required by tax and social security agencies.

• Tax declarations (business license, VAT, BNC, ITS, etc.)

• Social security declarations (DISA, etc.)

- Inventory Management:

Managed the inventory of containers and spare parts, from their purchase to their valuation.

- Fixed Asset Management:

Managed fixed assets by recording the company's assets and recording their depreciation, impairment, and disposal.

- Prepare financial statements:

Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and accompanying notes).

- Manage budgets:

Help track expenses and revenues against the established budget, controlling costs and optimizing allocated resources.

- Manage provisions:

Evaluate provisions related to personnel (leave, retirement, etc.) and others.

- Participate in monthly closings.

- Maintain good relationships with external stakeholders.

Act as the interface between the company and certain external stakeholders (auditors, tax agencies, banks).

- Oversee supplier and customer accounting.

Any other tasks requested by management.

Bac+ 4

Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience

Specialist Knowledge & Skills

Similar experience in general accounting

Very good command of Excel and ERP

Confidentiality

English

Interpersonal & Communication Skills

Good communication skills

Other Information

The accountant must, above all, be organized and meticulous, which are the main qualities required for this position. The general accountant must also be discreet, honest, and have good interpersonal skills. Proficiency with IT tools is also required for this type of position.
