Job purpose:
• Responsible for leading the development of Regional Air freight Product (business) in line with the Air
freight strategy in regard to growth.
• Support BD and GTM in winning the right business and in offering the right solution to meet the customer’s
requirements


Responsibilities:
• Global Product Development (GPD) Air Product Manager supports driving the agreed strategy for the region
focused TL’s & Strategic customers
• Regional GPD Air has responsibility to deliver pricing & solution through the GTM organization
• Regional GPD Air is aligned with GHO GPD & cluster management to support strategic growth plan from
cluster and align with global TL focus
• Product Knowledge - Coach / support and to present value proposition enabling business closure
• Collaborate with Global Air Leadership and drive the development and/or deployment of new processes
and solutions within the region
• Demonstrate value creation to all relevant stakeholders internally and externally to our customers and
strategic partners
• Strategic Customer Development with Global BD organization
• Supporting GTM in RFQ’s in regard to RFQ priorities and strategy routings, pricing, - liaising with the
respective Airfreight responsible in the regions
• Addressing and responding to critical resolution or escalation items that represent a risk to the business
within Air business line; oversee the resolution of daily or less sensitive conflicts.


Education and Experience:
• College, professional or university degree in Freight Forwarding, supply chain, engineering or related
functional area or equivalent education and experience.
• Post graduate business qualification, including an MBA would be an added advantage
• Understanding and success in the development and implementation of products and strategies in a matrix
and global environment.
• Experience in leading a team
• Experience of working across multiple geographies.
• Experienced in financial and resources management (P & L, balance sheet, forecasting, budgets,
allocations).
• At least five years of managerial experience, intermediate roles may require five to ten years of
management experience, and senior roles often require more than ten years of managerial experience
preferred.


Specialist Knowledge & Skills
• Thorough understanding of logistics/supply chain operations and related operational and business
requirements and best practices.
• Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, presentation,
influencing and negotiating skills.
• Developing, implementing and interpreting policies and procedures as well as applicable laws, rules and
regulations.
• Sophisticated interpersonal and communication skills demonstrate the ability to influence and develop
relationships at the highest level in customer organizations.
• Ability to develop highly collaborative and productive relationships internally.
• Mature judgement and decision-making.
