YOUR ROLE
The Fleet Allocator in our Finished Vehicle Logistics is responsible for the day to day planning of deliveries on the local and regional PUD fleet within the scope of responsibility (usually state-based), ensuring effective utilisation of both CEVA sub-contractors and contract carriers, against customer and statutory requirements.
This posiiton offers flexibiity in location, with opportunities across Adelaide, Melbourne or Brisbane.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Plan and manifest the timely and efficient delivery of freight to ensure DIFOT and cost management targets are achieved
- Book additional ad-hoc transport as required
- Ensure the dispatching depot is provided manifests and appropriate paperwork
- Liaise with depot supervisors and team leaders to ensure timely loading of PUD vehicles
- Ensure all incidents, hazards and non-compliances are reported and corrective actions implemented in a timely manner
- Investigate and resolve service and/or operational issues in a timely manner
- Ensure runs are compliant with all statutory and company requirements, including but not limited to driver fatigue and load restraint
- Ensure critical processes are completed in our Transport Management System within required timeframes.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate has experience in a fleet planning, allocation or coordination role or similar within the transport sector:
- Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office applications, and capable of learning new systems and working with technologies generally
- Good written and verbal communication, time management and customer service skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, know when to seek advice, suggest solutions or escalate as required.
- A general understanding of the road network/gazettes and major routes Australia is essential.
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
