Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the execution of warehouse and logistics operational processes to ensure compliance with Safe Work Methods and internal procedures, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Lead a team of operational staff including responsibilities for training and development, performance evaluation, compensation recommendations, and ongoing performance management to foster a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Continuously analyse and review operational activities, outcomes, and related feedback to identify trends, interpret findings, and present insightful reports with actionable proposals and recommendations to senior management.
- Provide support in investigative activities related to operational or safety issues, developing well-informed recommendations to resolve challenges and improve workplace conditions.
- Assist in the planning and development of project goals for operations and storage programmes, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and personnel management; effectively managing areas with moderate scope or impact under appropriate guidance.
- Coordinate customer feedback processes and resource mobilisation to ensure timely and effective response to client needs, enhancing customer satisfaction and service delivery standards.
- Interpret and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and applicable laws, rules, and regulations, ensuring operational compliance with the necessary standards; seek and apply guidance in these areas as needed to maintain robust governance.
- Monitor, measure, and report on both internal and external key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously drive improvements and operational performance.
- Develop and implement root cause analysis action plans addressing operational opportunities for improvement, administering resources effectively to guarantee the availability of skilled personnel, equipment, and tools essential for successful process execution.
