YOUR ROLE

 

Our Regional Sales Empowerment team are dedicated to equipping our Business Development community with the skills, tools, and knowledge they need to thrive in a dynamic and competitive commercial environment. 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Upskilling Expert to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving capability development, supporting transformation initiatives, and leading change management efforts across our European BD teams. This role is essential in ensuring our teams are prepared to meet evolving business needs while delivering exceptional results to our clients.

 

The role is to support our European team therefore occasional travel across regions may be needed for stakeholder engagement or training sessions; therefore flexibility is required. 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

As the BD Upskilling Expert, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of comprehensive onboarding programs and sales training initiatives for new sales colleagues with focuses on sales competencies, product knowledge, sustainability, and soft skill activities, ensuring alignment with global onboarding tools and local needs. You will evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback collection and performance metrics where you will continuously improve training content and delivery methods to ensure relevance, impact and future industry changes. 

 

You will lead change management initiatives within the BD function, with particular focus on transformational projects, systems and process integrations collaborating with cross-functional teams to support seamless communication and execution of change initiatives. You will also support with additional projects and initiatives to address evolving business needs.  

 

You will work in partnership with Regional BD Leaders, HR Business Partners and the Global Upskilling team to align training initiatives, skills gaps and industry best practices with business priorities and career development frameworks to ensure alignment to group and company expectations. You will also manage training budgets, resources and documentation to ensure efficient execution of all projects and programs.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

 

To be successful in your application you will have proven sales experience ideally within a Logistics and Supply Chain industry, matrixed environment, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Strong understanding of business development and sales processes and commercial operations.
  • Experienced in designing and delivering training programs, with a focus on sales enablement and soft skill development.
  • Proficiency in change management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, experienced in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions focused mindset. 

 

It would be desirable, however not essential if you are familiar with learning platforms and digital training tools and hold a certified training or change management qualification. 

 

This is an excellent secondment opportunity within our regional team, while the role is initially for 1 year, there could be wider opportunities across the group for those willing to stretch themselves.
