YOUR ROLE
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented, tenacious, and self-driven Business Development Manager to join our talented and successful Ground & Rail Sales Team.
This busy and high-profile role will be integral to the Ground & Rail team where you will identify, target and win new business through a consultative, solutions-based sales approach, therefore we require an individual who have substantial transport knowledge, ideally within a 3pl environment.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
As a Business Development Manager, you will push boundaries and go the extra mile to knock down doors and solicit new business to drive our organisation forward. You will develop compelling value propositions, building effective relationships with prospective customers to fully understand requirements and needs and work in close collaboration with senior operational leaders to embed, implement and deliver client solutions.
You will drive RFQs and tender processes from initial opportunity through to successful implementation and drive growth and sustainability on existing business to maximise long term revenue and customer value. That’s why we need a determined, self-sufficient, and courageous, energetic individual with expert networking ability, strategic pipelining skills, exceptional communication and a dynamic hunter mentality.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will have a proven track record of delivering growth over a sustained period with the ability to develop pipelines through strategic and targeted planning. You will have prior experience of developing compelling value propositions, able to maintain a high level of sales activity and cross-selling opportunities as well as being able to influence, partner and negotiate at senior level.
You most be able to demonstrate strong hunting capabilities with a strong focus on winning new business within the Transport sector.
You must be able to drive and hold a clean driving license with no more than 6 points on your license.
