This role can be based anywhere in the UK and operates Monday to Friday, with regular travel to CEVA sites nationwide and occasional travel to our Ashby-de-la-Zouch office. The role offers flexibility in managing your working schedule to support multiple sites as required.
The role pays up to £50,000 + company car.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Lead and deliver Continuous Improvement initiatives across operational sites, driving measurable improvements in performance, efficiency and ways of working.
- Conduct site diagnostics, process observations, time-and-motion studies and waste analysis to identify inefficiencies and develop practical improvement solutions.
- Support the deployment and ongoing development of CEVA’s SCA programme, assessing site performance against established criteria and best practice standards.
- Visit sites to observe operations, identify improvement opportunities, provide constructive feedback and support local teams with improvement plans.
- Facilitate and support Kaizen activities, ensuring actions are followed through, outcomes are measured and successful improvements are shared across the business.
- Apply Lean principles, including Kaizen and 5S, to improve processes, reduce waste and enhance operational efficiency.
- Break down and review existing processes to identify opportunities to re-engineer and improve operational solutions.
- Evaluate and communicate business performance against SCA, Kaizen, PRIMO and process standards at local, sector and cluster level.
- Support longer-term improvement programmes as well as new business wins, new site implementations and Contract Review Assessments.
- Work closely with the BPE team and operational stakeholders to embed Continuous Improvement principles and best practice across new and existing operations.
- Champion the use of CI tools and methodologies, supporting sites with their effective deployment and utilisation.
- Develop and deliver Lean and Continuous Improvement training and materials to support capability across operational sites.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve operating models and deliver sustainable, measurable improvements across the organisation.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re looking for a results-driven Continuous Improvement professional with proven experience delivering Lean and CI initiatives within operational or logistics environments. Ideally, you will hold a recognised Lean qualification, such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Practitioner status, or be working towards one. You will have strong practical experience using Lean tools including Kaizen, 5S, root cause analysis, value stream mapping and standard work, with the ability to identify process waste and improvement opportunities. Experience conducting process observations, cycle timing and time-and-motion studies, alongside working within formal CI governance frameworks, would be highly beneficial.
You will be analytical, data-driven and a strong problem solver, comfortable interpreting performance metrics and using data to identify and deliver improvements. You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence teams at all levels, lead Kaizen events and support the implementation of sustainable improvements. The role requires someone who can work independently, manage their own workload and organise extensive site travel, while also coaching and training teams on Lean principles. Strong IT and Excel skills, together with the ability to report on performance and help embed a culture of continuous improvement, are essential.
