Role Overview:
As a Forwarding Management Administrator based in Pantigliate, you will play a crucial role within the Air Operations unit, supporting the logistics activities related to air freight forwarding in Italy. The position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can manage administrative tasks, coordinate forwarding processes, and contribute to the smooth operation of air cargo logistics. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and compliant delivery of shipments while upholding CEVA’s standards of service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain forwarding documentation relevant to air freight shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as operations, sales, and customs to facilitate efficient cargo movement and resolve potential issues promptly.
- Track and update shipment status, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of relevant developments and providing proactive solutions to any delays or discrepancies.
- Support the administration of freight bookings, liaising with carriers and transport providers to optimise capacity and routing.
- Maintain accurate records in the company’s logistics management systems and prepare reports as required for operational monitoring and management review.
- Assist in the preparation and verification of customs documentation and compliance to support seamless import and export activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process optimisation opportunities and implementing best practices in forwarding administration.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or related administrative roles, preferably within air freight operations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with logistics software and Microsoft Office suite; experience with freight management systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and air cargo documentation is highly valued.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing operational needs.
