Warehouse Supervisor

YOUR ROLE

For our location in Born, we are looking for an experienced and driven Warehouse Supervisor! In this role, you will lead your warehouse team within the outbound department. Together, you will ensure that the logistics process runs like a well-oiled machine, achieving the weekly and monthly KPIs! You proactively identify opportunities for improvement within the logistics process and work on them together with your colleagues in line with the LEAN philosophy. Terms such as Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma are very familiar to you, and you use these methodologies to further optimize the logistics process. In addition, you will take your team’s performance to the next level and ensure that your team works in a motivated and safe environment.

In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager and directly manage 2 Assistant Warehouse Supervisors and indirectly 40 Warehouse Operators. The atmosphere within the team can best be described as informal, driven, and professional! Together, you will ensure that the customer, specialized in fire prevention, remains satisfied. You will work flexible day shifts with working hours between 07:00 AM and 09:00 PM.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a Warehouse Supervisor:

• You monitor the quantitative and qualitative progress of the logistics process towards the customer;

• You lead your team and support, coach, and develop them to an even higher level;

• You determine capacity and staffing requirements based on forecasting and KPIs;

• You analyze your team’s results and investigate and resolve any deviations;

• You identify opportunities for process improvements and proactively implement them within the LEAN philosophy;

• You ensure that employees work in a safe and organized environment and come to work with a smile.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor with a proactive attitude who is able to work independently! You are socially skilled and know how to motivate your team and colleagues to achieve results. Your coaching style helps employees develop themselves and ensures they enjoy coming to work.

Continuous improvement is very important to you, and you understand customer needs like no other. The logistics environment is dynamic and fast-paced, and you are able to handle this pressure well.

In addition, you bring the following knowledge and skills:

• MBO/HBO working and thinking level;

• At least 3 years of leadership experience within logistics (preferably contract logistics);

• Strong social and communication skills;

• Experience with process improvements (within the LEAN philosophy);

• Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written;

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• A gross monthly salary between €3.200,- and €4.300,- and 8% holiday allowance (salary depends on experience and educational background);
