YOUR ROLE
The Country Finance Manager leads the finance function, defines financial strategy, and ensures the company’s financial stability while advising leadership.
They oversee FP&A, reporting, treasury, working capital, risk, compliance, tax, internal controls, etc.
The role ensures strong financial governance and supports growth, profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop the finance team.
- Build capabilities across finance functions.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership, influencing key business decisions.
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with growth objectives.
- Provide insights on pricing, investments, risks, and commercial performance.
- Foster a culture of financial discipline and accountability.
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Build financial models and scenario analyses (FX, commodities, costs).
- Track performance vs. plans and ensure accountability for targets.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Deliver accurate financial reports and performance insights.
- Conduct profitability and variance analysis across the business.
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and recommend performance improvements.
Cost & Operational Finance
- Drive cost optimization across operations and supply chain.
- Analyze landed costs and operational profitability.
- Support efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives.
Financial Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee closing processes and ensure accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and local regulations.
- Manage consolidation and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance and internal controls.
- Collaborate with group functions (tax, audit, legal, FP&A and treasury).
- Identify and escalate financial and operational risks.
Treasury & Liquidity Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships.
- Oversee financing instruments (loans, LCs, guarantees).
- Monitor debt, covenants, and funding needs.
Working Capital & Credit Control
- Optimize receivables, payables, and inventory levels.
- Manage credit risk, customer exposure, and collections.
- Improve cash conversion cycle and liquidity efficiency.
Financial Risk
- Monitor and report exposure to FX and commodity price risks.
- Support hedging strategies within governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with risk policies and limits.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Oversee finance systems (ERP, reporting, data).
- Drive digital transformation and process automation.
- Improve reporting efficiency and data quality.
Capex & Investment Evaluation
- Oversee capital expenditure planning and approvals.
- Assess investments with financial models and business cases.
- Support M&A, expansion, and post-investment evaluations.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, customs, and regulations.
- Manage transfer pricing and tax audits.
- Monitor regulatory changes and business impact.
Internal Controls & Audit
- Maintain strong control environment and risk management.
- Lead audit processes and implement improvements.
- Promote ethics, compliance, and transparency.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Technical Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- More than 15 years of experience in finance, including at least five years in senior leadership roles such as CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance.
- Strong background in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, working capital, tax, audit, controls, and financial reporting.
- Experience in the logistics and transportation sector
- Experience operating across multiple entities, and diverse business environments
- Experience with multinational organizations and IFRS reporting environments.
- Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams.
- Experience reporting to regional or international headquarters.
- Strong experiences in restructuration, M&A, and business integration,
- Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP and JD Edwards / Oracle) and ERP implementation experience.
- Fluent in French, English and Arabic (Mandatory)
