We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Operations Professional to join our Ocean Operations team at CEVA A&O Mexico, based in Alcaldia Benito Juarez, Mexico. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth coordination of import and export shipments across various transport modes, with a primary focus on maritime and air freight.

As a Logistics Operations Professional, you will play a crucial role in maintaining operational stability and excellence, thereby directly impacting customer satisfaction and service continuity. You will manage the end-to-end shipment process from coordination to documentation and follow-up, working closely with shipping lines, airlines, transport carriers, and international agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments comprehensively, ensuring timely and accurate execution through all transport phases.
• Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with carriers, agents, and internal teams to ensure operational milestones and deadlines are met.
• Update and manage operational milestones using CargoWise, guaranteeing accurate tracking and visibility of shipment status.
• Validate critical shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BL), Air Waybills (AWB), commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) established by clients, contributing to compliance and quality assurance.
• Perform basic cost control to align operational expenses with approved quotations, supporting cost-effectiveness and budget adherence.
• Identify potential operational risks proactively and escalate issues promptly to mitigate impact on service levels.
• Provide transparent operational visibility to clients when applicable, fostering trust and strong business relationships.
• Collaborate effectively with overseas agents and various internal departments to facilitate seamless logistics operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in logistics or freight forwarding, particularly within maritime and air transport environments.
• Proficiency with logistics management systems, notably CargoWise, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and customs procedures.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Problem-solving aptitude with the ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions.
• Commitment to adhering to operational procedures and maintaining high standards of accuracy.
