We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Operations Professional to join our dynamic team within the Ocean Operations division at CEVA A&O Mexico, based in Mexico-Alcaldia Benito Juarez. This pivotal role is designed to support and enhance our new business segment, focusing on the seamless coordination and monitoring of daily maritime import and export activities.
As a Logistics Operations Professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end shipping process to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. Your primary duties will include tracking shipments, liaising with shipping lines and suppliers, providing excellent customer service, validating shipping documents, updating logistics systems, and monitoring invoicing processes. You will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence by ensuring compliance with established KPIs and guaranteeing a smooth cargo flow from origin to final delivery.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a significant volume of maritime shipments, approximately 763 forty-foot containers, supporting the operational growth and success of the business. You will be instrumental in maintaining operational continuity, rigorous shipment control, and delivering the high service standards expected by our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily import and export ocean freight activities, ensuring shipments are executed in line with customer requirements and company policies.
- Monitor and track all maritime shipments to provide real-time updates and proactively handle any exceptions or delays.
- Collaborate effectively with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other suppliers to optimise scheduling and operational efficiency.
- Validate and process all necessary shipping documentation to guarantee regulatory compliance and accurate record-keeping.
- Manage system updates related to shipment status, documentation, and billing to maintain data integrity and support invoicing accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to operational KPIs, implementing corrective actions when necessary to meet or exceed performance targets.
- Deliver outstanding client service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining strong communication links.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Ocean Operations team to enhance process workflows and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in maritime logistics operations, particularly in import and export coordination.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities effectively.

- Detail-oriented and diligent in documentation validation and compliance requirements.
