JOB PURPOSE

•    Financial Reporting & Analysis 

o    Collaborate in the preparation of monthly financial results for the FVL activities (revenues, transport costs, handling, storage, damages, etc.).
o    Perform basic month-end closing tasks:
o    Preparation and posting of accruals and cut-off entries
o    Reconciliation of key P&L and balance sheet accounts
o    Produce standard reports and KPIs for Finished Vehicle Logistics (e.g. cost per vehicle, lane profitability, utilization, on-time performance).
o    Perform first-level variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast vs. prior period) and provide explanations based on operational drivers.

 

•    Budgeting & Forecasting

o    Collaborate in data collection and consolidation for budgets and forecasts specific to Finished Vehicle Logistics (volumes, routes, service mix, tariffs, fuel/indexation impacts).
o    Maintain and update standard templates used by operational control to submit budget/forecast inputs.
o    Prepare preliminary budget vs. actual reports and basic variance analysis (e.g. variance due to volume, mix, rate, and efficiency).

•    Process & Systems Improvement

o    Support the documentation of FVL-specific finance processes (accrual calculation, invoice checks, cost allocations).
o    Contribute to testing and data validation when changes are made to ERP, TMS (Transport Management System), or billing tools.
o    Suggest improvements to automate and standardize recurring reports and checks (e.g. dashboards, reconciliations).

•    Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

o    Work closely with Finished Vehicle Logistics operations control teams (planning, dispatch, compounds, customer service) to:
o    Understand the financial impact of operational changes (new lanes, contracts, surcharges).
o    Assist the Business control Manager in preparing presentations and reports for management (monthly business review, customer profitability reviews).
o    Provide basic financial explanations and data to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and pragmatic way.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

•    Master’s degree in finance or business control  
•    Fluent in English (written and verbal)   
•    Experience  0-2 years                                                                                                                                                                •    Strong analytics skills with high attention to details and data quality
•    Advanced excel
•    Knowledge in logistics and transport                                                                                                                                        •    Good communication skills and willingness to work with operational teams in a business-oriented way 
•    Team work and collaboration 
•    Proactive, curious, and eager to learn about finance and logistics.
