YOUR ROLE 

The Data Domain Manager oversees all data-related activities within a given business domain, ensuring consistency, alignment with enterprise governance, and effective enablement of business-led data initiatives.

Drive business transformation through data by coordinating domain-wide initiatives to ensure alignment, prioritization, and effective delivery. Enable strong business ownership while ensuring adherence to enterprise data governance and establish robust data foundations. Foster collaboration across Business, Data, and IT stakeholders, and promote data quality, accessibility, and trust—ensuring that data capabilities are effectively adopted and embedded into day-to-day operations.

DDM’s role can vary significantly depending on the domain’s size, maturity and domain context, while maintaining a clear direction toward the target operating model.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

  • Oversee Domain Data Activities :
    Maintain a unified view of all data initiatives to ensure strong alignment, consistent prioritization, and effective coordination across the domain (including Delivery, MDM, Data Quality, Training, etc.). Ensure these initiatives are delivered in close collaboration with Business, IT (D&D), and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Enable Business Ownership
    Support business teams in owning their data roadmap and delivery, providing structure and guidance without taking over execution, also ensuring transfert to target operating model

  •  Ensure Alignment with Central Governance :

    Act as the relay of enterprise data governance, ensuring standards, policies, and frameworks are properly implemented, specific roles put in place in order to enable data governance

     

  • Drive Data Transformation Foundations
    Ensure the domain has the right data foundations (quality, definitions, lineage, controls, processes, roles) to support transformation initiatives

 

  • Coordinate Stakeholders, animate key comities :
    Animate/facilitate key committees by orchestrating interactions between Business, Data, and IT teams to reduce fragmentation and improve efficiency within the domain, as well as across dependent domains (provider/consumer relationships).

 

  • Promote Data Quality & Trust :
    Ensure that data quality practices are in place and consistently applied across the domain

 

  • Continuously Improve Data Accessibility :
     Continuously improve data accessibility by driving initiatives that make data easier to find, understand, and use (catalog, documentation, shared definitions), and easier to access (e.g., DataViz solutions), in close collaboration with the teams responsible for delivering these solutions, ensuring effective adoption across the organization.

 

  • Drive & Monitor adoption  :
    Drive adoption of data initiatives with business teams by defining clear success metrics, tracking usage and impact, identifying gaps, and implementing targeted actions (communication, training, change management) to ensure solutions are effectively embedded in day-to-day operations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ?

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree or equivalent (Logistics, Business Administration, IT, or related)
  • 7+ years experience with data related topics such as data analysis, data governance, data quality, master data management, business intelligence

  • Experience managing change/business transformation related to data initiatives

  • Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Analytics, Data Engineering

  • Good analytical skills combined with being structured and organised.

  • Good interpersonal communication skills: active listening, coaching, and facilitating.

  • Ability to make complex situations simple, understood and embraced

  • Able to work across cross function teams in an international environment
