Job Purpose
The A&O Integration Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, translating, and specifying data flow requirements (EDI, API, ETL) from internal/external clients and partners, and effectively bridging the gap to delivery engineers. Operating within the Dev Factory team, this role ensures the end-to-end lifecycle management of data integrations, spanning requirements gathering, functional specification design, comprehensive testing (SIT/UAT), and full coordination of Go-Live and production monitoring phases.
Key Accountabilities
Requirements Gathering & Functional Specifications
- Lead workshops and alignment meetings with internal and external stakeholders to discover, capture, and qualify integration requirements.
- Translate complex business, transport, and logistics operational workflows into clear, granular functional specifications for interface mapping.
- Document end-to-end data flow rules, structural data objects, and integration mappings across diverse data formats (EDI, API, ETL).
Testing, Validation & QA Coordination
- Build, maintain, and execute functional test books and acceptance scripts.
- Coordinate daily System Integration Testing (SIT) and provide robust assistance during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with key business users.
- Analyse and qualify production and staging anomalies functionally, log tickets in tracing systems, and track technical resolutions with developer teams.
Project Management & Go-Live Operations
- Manage project delivery timelines, scope, and deliverables for data integration initiatives using Agile methodologies and tools.
- Monitor and steer deployment operations, orchestrating the transition phases, Go-Live tasks, and early-stage hypercare.
- Actively report status updates, project metrics, and delivery performance milestones regularly to management.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Experience & Core Knowledge
- Significant professional experience (typically 5+ years) in Business Analysis, AMOA, or IT Project Management specialized in data integration or middleware.
- Proven experience navigating data integration models: understanding of mapping specifications, data transformation, and interface lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with tracking tools, ticketing applications (e.g., ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Planisware Orchestra), and structured logging.
Technical Core Competencies
- Solid grasp of integration formats and concepts: API (REST, JSON, Swagger), Batch, and structured EDI messaging protocols (e.g., XML, EDIFACT).
- Knowledge of ESB, ETL, or API Gateway concepts and general platform integration rules.
- Familiarity with Agile framework routines (Scrum, User Stories drafting, backlog tracking).
Interpersonal & Soft Skills
- Strong customer orientation and ability to interact smoothly with technical developers as well as non-technical external clients.
- Rigorous organization, autonomy, and sharp analytical problem-solving skills to decode production anomalies.
- Professional fluency in English and French (written and spoken) to succeed within a matrixed international context.
