Your role :

Master customs operations – Apply expertise and resources to manage national and international customs processes, ensure compliance with best practices, and conduct regulatory intelligence.

Support projects and teams – Contribute to customs-related studies, projects and contract reviews while assisting commercial, legal and customs teams.

Resolve disputes and improve processes – Address customs litigation, analyze root causes, support the implementation of corrective measures, and ensure follow-up

 

What are you going to do ?

Support and assist the network: Support and assist customs teams on all customs-related issues. Support the organization of customs teams based on current regulations, workload, and skills. Review contracts by applying the Group’s defined rules and ensuring interests are protected.

Manage the relationship with the network and our advisors: Monitor disputes and report to the legal department and/or insurance as needed

Report to Management: Inform N+1 management about regulatory changes impacting the organization and any significant risks.

Ensure regulatory and legal monitoring: Stay informed about industry developments and customs regulations; collect, analyze, and disseminate information

In this role, you’ll be in interaction daily with customs network for support and assistance, with the Legal team (contract/Insurance) for reviewing customs clauses in contracts and follow up of litigation, with Business Development for reviewing customs clauses in contracts. You’ll be in interaction weekly with the Legal Teams for all subjects related to trade compliance

 

Who are we looking for?

Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Customs law or a related field

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Global customs role or with a specialized customs consultancy (advisory and/or litigation)

Fluent in English

Knowledge of international customs law and customs procedures

Mastery of all customs clearance processes and declarations

Ability to absorb and apply theoretical frameworks (Incoterms, customs tariffs, customs codes, international customs regulations, etc…)
