Job Purpose:
To coordinate and manage the end-to-end shipment planning process by ensuring timely collection of delivery orders, completion of all required documentation, and prompt payment of shipping line charges. The role is responsible for maintaining effective communication with shipping lines and relevant stakeholders to proactively resolve operational issues, facilitate seamless cargo movement, minimize delays and costs, and optimize overall supply chain efficiency and service delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Main areas of focus and accountability of the role – detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:

- Coordinate and collection of shipping line charges, payment and Delivery orders application without affecting timely clearance of cargo.
- Ensure proper documentation for Delivery order application depending on the liner requirements including- authorization letters, guarantee form and any other documents that might be required.
- Documentation follows up including Bill of Lading, drop off letters, payment receipts, inward interchanged, refund of container deposit charges and any other payment that are either overpaid or caused by wrong transaction.
- Coordinate with other departments including import, export, transit and project to ensure documents are aligned as per liner requirements before submitting any application.
- Work closely with transport team to ensure containers drop off are valid by the time of returning empties to the shipping line depot.
- Ensure all payment invoices and receipts are timely submitted to finance for reconciliation and billing purpose.
