CEVA Logistics is expanding its footprint in East Africa, and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Pricing and Quoting Professional to support our operations in the region. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Pricing Strategy and Management:

• Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies tailored to the East African market, ensuring alignment with CEVA Logistics’ global objectives.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor pricing to recommend optimal pricing models.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to create pricing solutions that balance profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and evaluate pricing performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.

Quoting and Tender Management:

• Lead the preparation of accurate and timely customer quotes, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
• Manage the tender process, including analysis of tender documents, preparation of commercial proposals, and submission within deadlines.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing proposals are competitive, profitable, and aligned with operational capabilities.
• Establish and maintain a database of historical quotes and pricing decisions to support future quoting activities.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Serve as a key liaison between the commercial, operational, and finance teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and quoting processes.
• Provide regular updates to management on pricing trends, quoting performance, and market dynamics.
• Support the development of pricing tools and templates to streamline quoting processes and improve efficiency.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of pricing data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to communicate pricing performance and market insights to stakeholders.
• Utilize data-driven insights to recommend adjustments to pricing strategies and quoting practices.

Training and Development:

• Train and mentor internal teams on pricing and quoting best practices, tools, and processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and technological advancements to continuously enhance pricing and quoting capabilities.

 WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pricing, quoting, or commercial strategy, preferably within the logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry.
• Proven experience with tender management and pricing tools.

Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with pricing software or ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of East African market dynamics, including customer needs, competitor strategies, and regulatory requirements.
