YOUR ROLE 

  

Our operation has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative in Dartford. This is a critical role within the operation and directly contributes towards the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and operation. 

 

The role is Monday-Friday either 07:00-15:30 or 10:00-18:30. The salary is £12.74 per hour.

    

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Work safely at all times in line with current Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and site procedures, reporting any unsafe practices promptly.

• Work across all areas of the operation, including vehicle unloading, stock put away, picking and packing, order assembly for all customers on site including automotive sequencing, final assembly, marshalling and vehicle loading.

• Pick, pack and assemble customer orders accurately and systematically, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and ensuring all goods and quantities are correct.

• Check orders, stock and documentation thoroughly to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and prevent errors within the operation.

• Work to established productivity, quality and accuracy standards to support a reliable, high-performing service for all customers.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping and hygiene throughout the warehouse, operational and yard areas.

• Undertake all required training to become multi-skilled across the operation, providing flexibility and appropriate cover across different processes.

• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency and operational processes, and positively challenge existing practices where appropriate.

• Work collaboratively as part of the wider team and engage with the site CSR agenda.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

 

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous warehouse experience or a good understanding of warehouse operations.

• Is flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work varied hours during peak periods and weekends when required to meet operational demands.

• Has a pass in GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.

• Is physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling and working in a busy warehouse environment.

• Is a reliable and committed team player who works well with others.

• Is comfortable working with simple numbers and able to maintain a high level of accuracy when checking stock, orders and quantities.

• Is computer literate and comfortable using basic computer systems and warehouse-related software.

• Is self-motivated, organised and able to work independently when required.

• Has a strong attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
