YOUR ROLE
Our operation in Daventry has an exciting opportunity for a Class 2 Driver. This is a key role within the operation, delivering white goods to retail customers and directly contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and operation.
Shifts will start between 05:00 and 07:00 and are typically 10-12 hours.
The salary for this role is up to £35,926.80 per annum. We also offer an unsocial rate of £3.33 before 06:00 and after 20:00.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Safely drive a range of lorries and vehicles to deliver white goods, such as washing machines, ovens and fridge freezers, to retail customers.
• Complete scheduled deliveries safely, efficiently and within the required timeframes.
• Carry out pre-trip vehicle checks and ensure goods are safely loaded, secured and transported.
• Carry out heavy manual handling unloading white goods using equipment such as sack barrows and tail lifts.
• Deliver goods safely to the correct location, handling all products with care to prevent damage.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, colleagues and the site team, reporting any delays, issues or delivery problems promptly.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including delivery notes, signatures and relevant delivery records.
• Manage your own workload effectively while maintaining high standards of safety, reliability and customer service.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• Holds a full, valid Cat C (Class 2) driving licence with no more than 6 points and a valid driver CPC.
• Is comfortable with a physically demanding role involving regular heavy manual handling.
• Has good communication skills and is confident communicating with customers, colleagues and site.
• Is reliable, punctual and able to manage their time effectively.
• Is adaptable, willing to learn and able to work independently.
