YOUR ROLE
Our Air and Ocean Operations team in Dublin is looking for an Ocean Freight Operator to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, booking, and managing ocean freight import and export shipments, ensuring efficient, compliant, and seamless international transport operations.
This is a Monday to Friday position, with working hours of 09:00–17:30.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Plan, book, and manage ocean freight import and export shipments, ensuring timely and efficient transportation that meets customer requirements.
- Coordinate with customers, carriers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth, compliant, and seamless transport operations.
- Prepare and manage customs documentation, shipping paperwork, and freight records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations, including Incoterms.
- Monitor shipment progress, proactively resolve any issues or delays, and provide excellent customer service throughout the transport process.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiency.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in ocean freight forwarding, international logistics, or supply chain management, with a solid understanding of customs procedures and international trade regulations, including Incoterms.
Experience working with logistics systems and good proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word) is essential, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, are required, as the role involves regular interaction with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
