YOUR ROLE
Our European Business Development team have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking Regional Key Account Manager (RKAM) where you will be responsible for the development of new and existing business within the Technology sector across Europe.
This pivotal role will see you evaluating the regional market to identify potential customers and opportunities with significant requirements for integrated logistics solutions across Air, Ocean, Ground & Rail and Contract Logistics. This role combines both active solutions selling and client development therefore we require an individual with both a hunter mentality and account management style.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the European Regional Sector Leader for Technology, you will take the lead in the development and implementation of account plans, including relationship building at ‘C’ level, competitor analysis, stakeholder mapping, solution selling, and account strategy and development within the dedicated account portfolio.
You will identify, qualify and develop opportunities from ‘contact to contract’ in collaboration with business unit directors and P&L owners. You will lead complex negotiations with customers ensuring the involvement and participation of SMEs and Operational Leaders to ensure compliance and local legal procedures as well as managing the investment proposal, ICAP preparation and ROI considerations. You will manage P&L and accounts receivable for Europe across all business lines to ensure customer obligations are met in line with commercial agreements. Providing regular reports and business overviews to both internal and external stakeholders you will showcase successes and positioning identifying opportunities for growth, account development and revenue leakage.
Your expertise will be instrumental in evaluating market dynamics to target potential customers throughout Europe, collaborating with operational leaders you will educate them on specific needs within the Technology sector, combining your expertise to formulate effective marketing strategies, product offerings and account successes.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful applicant will be at the forefront of our sales initiatives, working alongside the Regional Sales Teams to ensure our services in Air, Ocean, Ground & Rail and Contract Logistics are the preferred choice in a highly competitive market, therefore you will not only be an expert in leading business development strategies within the Technology sector, but have significant experience in defining, leading and deploying account management strategies that focuses on both new business and existing client portfolios.
Knowledge and skill requirements:
- Significant knowledge and experience in the Technology sector.
- Defined and developed network of clients and contacts.
- Strong commercial and business acumen skills.
- Natural negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leaderships skills with the ability to build strategic partnerships.
- Experience of working in a global/regional matrixed organisation.
- Excellent communication with proficiency in English.
