Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Take charge of overall site operations with accountability for seamless coordination across all managed areas. You will address challenges proactively and implement process adjustments to optimize execution and service delivery.
- Financial Management: Supervise the preparation of weekly and monthly financial projections and analyses. Approve or reject invoices based on financial assessments, and make informed decisions to maintain fiscal responsibility.
- Contract Operations: Oversee the quality systems applied within each contract operation. Delegate and monitor execution while making decisions necessary to enhance process efficiencies.
- Business Planning: Develop and track business plans, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure successful implementation and fulfillment of company goals.
- Project Coordination: Lead and coordinate activities for new logistics projects, evaluating proposals for approval or rejection based on strategic fit and resource availability.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the allocation and management of resources to support these efforts.
- Labor Relations: Participate in the review process of collective labor agreements affecting unionized personnel. Delegate tasks appropriately and define negotiation strategies and budget allocations.
- Expense and Vendor Management: Monitor and authorize contract expenses, oversee vendor payments, and ensure financial activities align with approved budgets.
- Performance Metrics and KPIs: Supervise key performance indicators including quality, safety, workforce metrics, and productivity, making decisions to modify processes to achieve targets.
- Work Environment: Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture by implementing tools and resources that support organizational needs.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Make decisions to implement necessary process changes compliant with company standards.
- Client Relationship Management: Lead your team in developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients and other contract stakeholders, resolving issues in a constructive and solution-focused manner.
- Maintenance Oversight: Supervise the application of preventive and corrective maintenance activities, managing resource allocation and budgeting decisions.
- Quality System Management: Oversee the upkeep of quality management systems, ensuring compliance through audits and regular evaluations.
- Audit Coordination: Manage and supervise client audits, executing necessary adjustments to processes to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.
- Availability and Support: Maintain availability to support organizational needs, including providing assistance to the new business development department as required.
- Risk and Opportunity Management: Update and manage the RC-09 Risk and Opportunity Evaluation Matrix, making strategic decisions to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Indicator Meetings: Conduct regular review meetings using checklists to evaluate performance indicators, adjusting operational plans and resources as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in logistics management, project management, or related operational leadership roles.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in managing budgets, financial analysis, and invoice approvals.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork, employee engagement, and positive client relations.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, operational processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Sound decision-making capabilities with a strategic mindset focused on process optimization and resource management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred for effective communication within multinational operational settings.
