Pay range $53,200 - $70,000/yr
YOUR ROLE
Are you known for your skills? Are you passionate about delivering excellent logistics services? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you ensuring the day-to-day operations by organizing and implementing the day-to-day operations, ensure that the operations are running correctly.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- CEVA on-site resource at client office location
- On-site resource is expected to adhere to a standard 5-day work schedule, aligned with customer’s plant operational hours. Any shift adjustments or weekend support must be mutually agreed upon in writing
- Regular interaction with client, with CEVA’s contract manager regarding client feedback and CEVA’s operational manager
- Schedule all live unloaded ocean and air freight deliveries into the final plant via the dock schedule to ensure plant "Days on Hand" (DOH) inventory targets are fully protected
- Track and ensure all critical air freight deliveries are expedited and delivered to the line in a timely manner to protect ongoing production.
- Communicate all critical material shortages, risks, and supply concerns immediately to the plant personnel so that joint mitigation measures can be executed and issues elevated as required
- Review and validate daily shortage. Ensure proactive actions—including shipment diversions, emergency air freight, or supplier expediting—are initiated with sufficient lead time to protect inventory levels
- Contact suppliers to resolve issues with inaccurate information
- Promptly investigate and resolve any shipping discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages, or mislabelling) reported by the production floor.
- Act as the primary point of contact for calls from the production floor regarding cycle losses (for parts from overseas suppliers) , rejected components, or foreign/non-conforming materials
- Track and monitor outbound rack/dunnage loads to ensure empty trailers are systematically available for reload, while proactively minimizing carrier dwell time
- Ensure carriers are promptly notified as soon as empty trailers/containers are released to minimize and prevent demurrage or detention charges
- Maintain key performance statistics and drive improvements, where necessary
- Ensure all policies and procedures are consistently administered
- Develop and provide excellent service to internal and external customers
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Finance or related discipline preferred or equivalent combination of work experience and education. Minimum 4 years related experience.
• Skills: Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of US and/or international currency, weight, volume and distance measurements. Intermediate on power BI or any business intelligence tool.
Possess a strong understanding of manufacturing logistics lifecycle events, including Engineering Changes, Pre-Builds, System Fills, Balance Outs, and Job 1/Job 2 Launch Events.
Fully proficient in SAP (MM/WM modules) to execute planning, scheduling, inventory tracking, and record integrity improvement actions.
• Characteristics: Demonstrated advanced communication ability. Ability to allocate work assignments and/or responsibilities to others to maximize the organization's and the individual's effectiveness. Customer focused. Ability to make customers and their needs the primary focus; developing and sustaining productive relationships.
