Ground & Rail Operations Supervisor - CEVA Logistics Turkey

CEVA Logistics Turkey is seeking a dedicated and experienced Ground & Rail Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic Operations team located at Samsun/IlkadIm/Bolge Mudurlugu. This role is pivotal within our Ground & Rail Division, responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operations to ensure the seamless coordination and execution of logistics services involving ground and rail transportation.

Role Summary

The Ground & Rail Operations Supervisor will lead and manage the operational activities related to ground and rail freight, ensuring that all processes comply with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and company policies. This supervisory position requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and the ability to navigate complex logistics environments to achieve high levels of service delivery and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily ground and rail transportation operations to ensure timely and accurate movement of freight.
• Manage operational staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and skilled team.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency and minimize operational risks.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and accountability within the team.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to optimize cargo handling, scheduling, and documentation processes.
• Analyze operational data and generate reports to support continuous improvement initiatives and decision-making.
• Resolve operational issues proactively, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Participate in budgeting and resource planning to ensure effective allocation of operational resources.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in supervising ground and rail freight operations or related logistics environments.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and safety standards applicable to ground and rail logistics.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and develop teams effectively.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with logistics management software and IT tools relevant to operations tracking and reporting.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Fluency in English and Turkish is highly desirable, both spoken and written.
