Overview
As a Ground Operations Supervisor at CEVA FM Mexico, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution and development of terrestrial logistics products. You will be responsible for leading your team to ensure the quality and compliance of operational and administrative processes, with a commitment to the highest standards of service excellence and adherence to company policies, procedures, and the corporate code of conduct.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage your team to effectively execute all operational and administrative processes related to ground transportation services, ensuring seamless delivery and continuous improvement.
- Maintain, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all accounts at your station, guaranteeing accuracy and relevance to operational needs.
- Actively contribute to the launch and implementation of new projects by defining operational resources and validating that SOP information meets client service requirements.
- Review operational reports such as DOSP05, DOSP06, and Daybookf to ensure timely and accurate billing within the operative month, supporting financial and budgetary targets.
- Monitor and administer ICO reports, ensuring proper handling to avoid budgetary impacts.
- Develop and manage improvement plans with transportation providers to ensure compliance with service performance indicators, fostering strong partnerships and accountability.
- Lead client review meetings focused on key performance indicators (KPIs), driving follow-up on action plans and continuous service improvements.
- Supervise the accuracy of data entry for all services rendered, maintaining system integrity and operational transparency.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of physical files for each shipment, ensuring compliance with company documentation standards.
- Ensure effective management of the Apinvh process, maintaining operational accuracy and compliance.
- Possess thorough understanding of the department’s Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, ensuring billing processes are completed punctually to meet financial objectives.
- Guarantee that your team meets the required training hours as outlined in the annual development program, promoting ongoing professional growth and compliance.
- Support and contribute to the career development of each team member by fostering a positive and empowering work environment.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by management, prioritizing activities that benefit the department and align with company goals.
Reporting Structure
You will report directly to the Ground Operations Manager and will have direct supervisory responsibility over Ground Specialist I and II positions. This role requires strong leadership to coordinate efforts effectively within your team and across departments.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in ground operations management, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with an emphasis on coaching and employee development.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities, including SOP maintenance, reporting, and client engagements.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, billing processes, and financial controls relevant to operational management.
- Effective communication skills to lead meetings, collaborate with clients, and interface with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in operational software and data entry systems, ensuring accuracy and process efficiency.
- Commitment to uphold CEVA’s policies, procedures, and ethical standards, contributing positively to corporate culture.
