Ground Transborder Specialist II

Join our Operations Division at CEVA FM Mexico as a Ground Transborder Specialist II, based at our Transportation Operations department in Tlaquepaque-Guadalajara. This role plays a vital part in managing the seamless execution of crossborder and domestic terrestrial logistics services, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and meeting client requirements effectively.

Key Objectives

As a Ground Transborder Specialist II, you will be responsible for the operation and administration of transborder ground services throughout Mexico. By adhering to company policies and guidelines, you will ensure the thorough fulfilment of customer expectations, optimizing the delivery of transportation and logistical functions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordination and Scheduling: Oversee and manage the planning, coordination, and tracking of shipments across domestic and crossborder terrestrial routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Administrative and Financial Controls: Manage end-to-end documentation processes, verify supporting documents for services rendered, generate invoices for clients, and process payments to suppliers guaranteeing financial accuracy and operational transparency.
  • Supply Chain and Transport Compliance: Provide crucial assistance to maintain adherence to the supply chain and transportation processes established by clients and company standards.
  • Financial Accountability: Monitor the financial aspects of assigned client operations ensuring profitability and cost control within the transportation services.
  • Performance Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Develop and present Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), design and implement improvement strategies collaboratively with clients and suppliers to enhance service quality.
  • Documentation and Data Management: Review, complete, and maintain various transport and logistics documents and databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance to regulations.
  • Investigation and Problem Resolution: Assist in research activities and provide well-founded recommendations to resolve challenges related to transport and logistics operations.
  • Policy Implementation Support: Participate in reviewing and rolling out transportation policies, procedures, and programs that align with organisational needs and operational excellence.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any other tasks assigned that contribute to the effectiveness of the ground transportation operations.

Reporting Structure

You will report directly to the Ground Operations Supervisor. There are no direct or dotted line reports under this role.

Collaborative Relationships

This position requires frequent interaction with all departments involved in terrestrial logistics to ensure smooth operations, effective communication, and coordination across teams.

Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Category Required Desirable
Education Degree in Logistics, Transport Engineering, or International Business
Experience 2 to 3 years in ground logistics, preferably with focus on domestic and crossborder operations
Technical Knowledge Practical knowledge of domestic and transborder ground logistics, including supplier management, types of vehicles and service scopes, documentary control, and traffic regulations applicable to various transport modes
Language Advanced English proficiency
Competencies Teamwork, organised approach, negotiation skills, results orientation, proactivity, analytical mindset, and attention to detail
